Sonic Legacy is a long-running series of Sonic the Hedgehog comic books created by Sonic Paradox. The comic first began in private starting on April 1, 2018, on the Sonic Paradox Discord server. Spin-off publications from the comic include the Mobius Legacy series, which features stories that take place outside of Sonic's point of view.

The comic's main focus is the journey of the titular character, the hero Sonic the Hedgehog, aiming to cover most of the game's stories, as well as original lore. Sonic loves adventure and chili dogs and will always step in to protect his friends, no matter the threat. Sonic is similar, yet different, in personality compared to other related media - in Legacy, he will still have a sense of altruism, however will tend to distance himself from others in order to keep them out of harm, and try to do things alone. He also understands what sort of threat Dr. Eggman presents to Mobius, and while making quips about the doctor at times, knows to take him as seriously as possible.
Normally, Sonic's age in canon is ambiguous, with some material stating he's 15, so Legacy intentionally started the Classic era with Sonic being portrayed as a younger teen, and gave time for all of the characters to age.
Setting[]
Legacy begins with the year 1991 AG (After Genesis), marking the era when Mobians and humans first integrated as a merged society. Sonic lives on the planet Mobius, with his home originally on Christmas Island. Other areas of interest on Mobius are the Kingdom of Mobotropolis, Sunset Heights, Central City, and more.
